    Assessment Session (for Reports) $300/hour (GST exempt)

    Assessment Report Preparation and Writing $270* per hour (GST applicable. Total cost with GST $297/hour). See below regarding complex and detailed reports

    *The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) recommend a session fee of $270/hour

    Note:

    • Unless stated, counselling sessions are 60 mins in duration

    • Assessment sessions for reports are generally between 90 mins - 2 hours long

    • Assessment reports are capped at $2450 (before GST) for complex and detailed reports. Where possible, reports are provided 2 weeks after the last assessment session. Extra time may be required for complex reports.

    • NSW Victims Services: counselling sessions approved by Victims Services are fully covered under the Victims Support Scheme

    • Mental Health Care Plan (Medicare): counselling sessions available under a GP referral (see “Medicare and Health Funds” for more information)

    • Private Health Insurance: rebatable counselling sessions available for members with Extras or Top Extras Cover for: BUPA, HCF, Teachers Health Fund, UniHealth Insurance, Nurses and Midwives Health, Doctor’s Health Fund (see “Medicare and Health Funds” for more information). Please consult with your health fund on policy coverage, amount claimable and ways to claim

  • Individual Clinical Consultation $190 (excl GST, GST applicable. Total cost with GST $209)

    • Sessions are 60 mins long

  • 24 hour notice prior to the scheduled appointment time to cancel or to reschedule an appointment is required.

    Less than 24 hour notice, will incur half the appointment fee.

    Non attendance to appointments will incur the full appointment fee.

  • Payment is required within 7 days of the session or service.

    Payment methods accepted include: bank deposit, electronic transfer, credit card (MasterCard and Visa)

    Note:

    • Payment with a credit card incurs a 1.7% surcharge

  • Approved counselling sessions through Victims Services is available.

    Sessions are 60mins long.

    Fee is covered under the Victims Support Scheme with the Victims Services NSW.

  • Cathie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) and can provide psychological counselling sessions under a GP Mental Health Care Plan referral. This assists with access and affordability of counselling sessions.

    Medicare cardholders are able to access 10 sessions per calendar year under the Better Access Mental Health Care and attracts a Medicare rebate of $85 per session

    As an AMHSW, people with Extras Cover on their private health insurance with BUPA, HCF, Teachers Health Fund, UniHealth Insurance, Nurses and Midwives Health, Doctor’s Health Fund are able to also claim a rebate for their sessions. Please consult with your private health insurer for further details including policy coverage, ways to claim and rebate
