My Approach
“I value people’s lived experiences and recognise the strengths, abilities and capacity they developed throughout their lifetime to help deal, cope and manage. This is one of the foundational principles in the way I work and I tailor my approach and counselling treatment to meet the unique needs, situation and goals of the person.
In supporting people to recognise their existing strengths, resilience and ways of coping, I help and empower people to gain the tools and knowledge to expand on current ways of coping and develop a deeper understanding of their situation, themselves and ways of relating. Through this process, people have an improved sense of self, safety, self-worth, value and wellbeing and develop and maintain meaningful connections with themselves and others.”

I acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia, and in particular the Darug people on whose lands I live and work. I acknowledge the continuing connection to land, sea, culture and community. I pay my respect to Elders past, present and future. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
I respect everyone’s right to freely identify and affirm their sexual and gender identity and orientation and right to be free from discrimination and mistreatment. I pay my respect to those amongst the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex communities who have worked to support the improved safety and wellbeing of their peers, children, families, friends, and country.
